Heavenly Stitches was started independently in 2000 by Cecilia Coleman. Cecilia was raised in a strict Catholic household and, of course, attended an all-girl Catholic school up until high school. Because of this she was forced to wear a plaid uniform skirt to school every day and it didn't help that her father had adopted the "girls should only wear skirts" rule. So, at the age of 14, Cecilia decided that since her parents wouldn't buy her anything but long below-the-knee skirts…she would sew for herself.
She started making her own mini skirts, sleeveless dresses and shorts, and after wearing a couple of pieces after school, most of her friends were paying her to make their clothing also…and the rest is history. Cecilia has 23 years of tailoring experience and over 10 years of bridal alterations. We offer full alteration services and reconstructing of garments.
Even though we are a full-service salon, we specialize in special occasion wear with over 90% of our clientele being bridal. We offer a wide-range of bridal services which include bustling, hemming, reconstructing and made-to-fit alterations.
Our customers have come to find that once they have entrusted Heavenly Stitches with their wedding gown and bridal party gown alterations they experience a calming effect. Our professional approach to helping you to enjoy your most memorable day reassures you because you will know that we have got any wardrobe emergency covered.
Heavenly Stitches also offers a "Day of Service", which includes not only having the bridal gown steamed on the site of the ceremony, but we will be there with the bride every step of the way for any emergency repairs. We come to the site where the bride will be getting dressed with our steamers, sewing machines, and alterations kit and we physically dress the bride. This service is available to bridesmaids and the entire bridal party also and can be rendered to customers that didn't get alterations done by Heavenly Stitches.

Heavenly Stitches specializes in alterations including redesigning of gowns, MOB or MOG, attendants and flower girls. Attention to detail and the fine finishing of Heavenly Stitches and owner, CeCe, has gained the confidence of some of Saint Louis's finest bridal salons and consultants.
